Walnut field

In an area of thirty acres overlooking the throne of Zeus at the foot of Mount Olympus in Kato Milia is our own walnut grove. The ancient Greeks chose this blessed place to cultivate their first walnut trees, a favorite fruit of the twelve Gods of Olympus. Legend has it that the Greeks called walnuts “royal nuts” and believed that Zeus, the father of the Olympian Gods, when he descended to Earth, ate walnuts to gain more strength and wisdom. In this fertile place, we also chose to create our own walnut grove where we grow walnut trees of the california chandler variety.
